Incredible Woman #32 - Vanessa Brown. Wednesday's Questions...

KARA: "Who is the most influential person in your life? What have they taught you?"

VANESSA: "Well there are a few, but lately I have been thinking a lot about my Grandmother, my mother's Mom. She passed away a few months ago and even though it was one of those "happy" passings we all really miss her. She went through a lot in life, not having a father, being raised by a single mother and her aunt, her brother passing away, her husband going through cancer four time and then passing away, raising 4 children (all one year apart) and her last little boy passing away at age two. She suffered with severe depression at times and ended up passing away from dementia and Alzheimers. However, at the same time she was my Sunshine. Because when I was lonely I could call her and knew every single time she would pick up and brighten my day. That when I got to go visit her as a child I KNEW she would brighten my whole year with making me feel incredibly loved. That listening to her sing hymns on her back porch would provide me with memories to help me out of my personal trials. Knowing that she loved me no matter what, during every single minute of the day and that she wanted me to be the best Vanessa I could be. Even with all of her personal struggles she still was the sunshine to every single loved one around her. I hope that when faced with hard times like she has that I can be strong enough to know that people around me still need me to rise above it."

KARA: What is “Moms Are Making Money With Their Blogs” all about? How can it help those of us who blog?"

VANESSA: "About a year ago every single person I knew was contacting me! From those in a part church group that I barley knew, to old friends from different states, to family members to readers of my blog. Some of them would outright say, "Hi haven't talked in forever. I really want you to teach me everything you know so I can have a blog like yours." Or some of them would invite me over for a playdate or out to lunch and then bombard me with questions like I had walked into an accidental interview. Which most of the time honestly I didn't mind. Although it got to the point where my husband said, "Vanessa when you have this many people asking you how to run a blog, get high traffic and make money with it like you have, it's time to turn it into a product and sell it." So I did. MomsMakeMoneyBlogging.com is a online 7 month program where I go over the ins and outs of teaching you to be a successful blogger that makes money. It has been a lot of fun and I feel really proud of the product I sell and how it has really helped hundreds of people."

Sneak Peak for tomorrow: We'll talk with Vanessa about her favorite place to spend time with her family, and also about the hardest thing she's had to do. Don't miss the questions tomorrow!
